STAT家族蛋白的乙酰化修饰与功能调控

摘要:STAT (signal transducer and activator of transcription)蛋白家族是一类具有重要生物学效应的转录因子,它们可以被多种细胞因子所激活,并且受到翻译后修饰(posttranslational modification, PTM)的调控。除酪氨酸和丝氨酸磷酸化以外,近来的一些研究表明赖氨酸乙酰化对STAT信号活性也起到了关键的调控作用,多种不同的翻译后修饰就像组蛋白密码一样共同决定着STAT蛋白的功能。本文就STAT家族蛋白的乙酰化修饰及其在细胞因子应答和10 生理及病理生理进程中的作用做一综述。

Functional role of acetylation in STAT regulation

Abstract: STATs (signal transducers and activators of transcription) belong to a family of transcription factors with diverse biological functions. Their signaling activities are modulated by posttranslational  modifications (PTMs) in response to various cytokines. Besides phosphorylation of tyrosine and serine, lysine acetylation has been recently shown critical in the regulation of STAT functions, while different PTMs serve as a “histone code”-like role to determine the ultimate cellular effects. The physiological and pathophysiological roles of acetylated STATs in mediating cytokine signaling were reviewed here.
